Institution for Savings Addition
State Street, Newburyport, MA

Woodman Associates Architects designed the late 20th century addition to the historic 19th century Institution for Savings building located at 93 State Street in Newburyport. The addition provided expanded office space, a drive up teller and a fully accessible, 24-hour ATM lobby.

It was the desire of the bank to maintain the rich architectural heritage of the historic main bank by adding a building that was of the same high quality and "that spoke of its own time". The addition is linked to the rear of the main building and is compatible and compliments the historic structure in scale and materials.
